Sony Japan has discontinued 20GB and 60GB HDD configurations of Playstation 3. in order to "improve software development environment and the availability of a more extensive line-up of software titles for PS3".Like Europe the only version available will be the 40GB which lacks SACD playback and of all is not backward compatible.
