With the Olympics round the bend, Speedo's LZR Racer is set to evoke terms like 'unfair advantage' and 'performance enhancing'. Donkey Kong Jungle Juice is Power Up in Guise

That's correct, if you go by the findings of the guys at MTV Multiplayer, then both the Donkey Kong Jungle Juice and Super Mario Power Up energy dinks taste the same. That's not very surprising as most energy drinks have the same Pepto Bismol, flat taste with and overdose of bubblegum aroma. The packaging seems to be the only point of difference; clearly Nintendo doesn't know the difference between princess-stealing, banana chomping apes and mushroom loving plumbers. If getting...

Port-O-Rotary Phone is Vintage

Revisiting the past when dialing a number meant actually moving a dial, the Port-O-Rotary is truly vintage albeit with a bit modifications. It has been specially modified to work like a cell phone. Open up the phone and slide in the SIM card and you're ready to go. Keeping the old spirit alive, the phone still has a dial tone; dials out through the rotary and the incoming calls ring the original, loud, gong style metal bells. The internal...

You may now switch on your mobiles in-flight

I always loved to fly! It brought back memories of my childhood when I could walk around the deck and occasionally just drop by the cockpit. Well now those days are not expected to come anytime soon unless I bought my own jet. The last solace I had was the comfort of sitting down on my economy allotted seat and listening to the jets hum away. Unfortunately that's about to change too, the nest time your onboard a UK-registered...

Suspended animation experiments to send mice in a trance

Many science fiction stories evolve around intergalactic travel by humans who have been kept in suspended animation by generations of caretakers who travel with them in spaceships. Although the real trials of such a phenomenon have been successful in conducting heart transplants or surgery, it's practical uses are speculative. However Warren Zapol, MD, chief of Anesthesia and Critical Care at MGH and senior author of the Anesthesiology study has another use of this. He thinks it could be used...

Apple and Google could be doomed if something better came along

Life comes full circle eventually, even for the best of companies. You may think that Microsoft is evil with it's monopoly over operating systems but ask yourselves; Wouldn't the MAC be a pain to own if it was the only choice we had in buying computers? For starters not many could afford one. Or for that matter having only Google to search anything on the web? What if we didn't have that even just had an encyclopedia installed without...
