Saif on Rolling Stones Magazine Cover

Many of you may not know this but the iconic Rolling Stones Magazine is finally coming to India. However what truly surprising is the fact that the first Indian Edition will feature Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on the cover and not a Rock200px-RollingStone40th.jpg band. While Rock purists will scream blasphemy, I am sure...

Unveiling the Secrets of the Red Carpet

Skirtless outfit Elise Overland Fall 2008 Collection

Glitzy, glamorous - perfectly coutured, dazzling from hair to toe, the A-list celebrities make their way up the red carpet.

As countless photographers shout instructions to the celebs, lights embellish the celebrities as they walk past background banners embodied with the logos of event sponsors.

Whether it's a movie opening or the biggest red carpet event of them all - the Academy Awards, the A-List celebrities of tinsel town parade before the cameras and the tv spot lights.

But behind this beautifully crafted fairy tale façade, is a deeper and sinister side.

The side of the red carpet that few outsiders ever know.

The side of the red carpet that only a daughter, born of a Oscar winning director and a cover model mother, could know.

Runway Photos from Fashion Week New York Fall 2008

For in this town, being on the A-list is not a guarantee of a daughter's success.

In fact, a famous daughter may just have to survive by selling her mother's last season's hand me downs Chanel on eBay just to pay the rent.

Try having every Hollywood connection in the world and still being a total failure.

This is the story of a daughter of Hollywood legends who yearn for success and love, but fail to find it, until.

Until, she teams up with a hot, yet unknown fashion designer who is trying to get his designs on the backs of the Academy Awards nominatives.

Find out what it takes to score an Academy Awards nominative to wear a unknown designer's outfit in this novel that leaves nothing to the imagination except who the real life inspirations for the characters were.

In their first book - CELEBUTANTES, two daughters of Hollywood icons Amanda Goldberg and Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper reveal the deep, dark secrets behind the Red Carpet fashions.

Amanda Goldberg, daughter of legendary film and television producer Leonard Goldberg, has been called "One to Watch" by Vogue and has landed on Harper's Bazaar's "Best Dressed" List. After working with acclaimed designer Todd Oldham, Goldberg joined her father's production company where she was the Associate Producer on the blockbuster film Charlie's Angels.

Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper is the daughter of Zabriskie Point's Daria Halprin and Easy Rider's Dennis Hopper. She started her career in production at Radical Media in New York City and went on to produce and co-star with her father in the critically acclaimed independent film Americano. Hopper was also a producer for the CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas.

Goldberg and Hopper are contributors to the California-based C Magazine.

The Star Wars Armchair

Star Wars has had a strong influence on many. From Churches to gadgets and home theatres, the influence has manifested itself in many forms. The latest one being furniture. Inventor Keith Dixon was inspired by Star Wars (the Landspeeder vehicles in particular) and is creating a range of household furniture that hovers off the ground to give a feeling of weightlessness. The Lounger, which is an armchair, floats on magnets. Wow! The chair comprises a base and a see-through...

Solar Charger Charm For Your Cell Phone

Strap-Ya features a cool solar charger that can charge your cellphone. What's really cool is that it can be carried along with the phone like one of those cell phone charms. No doubt it looks hideous but luckily the size is compact so it doesn't look so bulky. In fair weather conditions it charges your phone in about 6-10 hours. But the good news is that you can power the charger via an AC adapter and that takes about...

Photos from the inside of Apple Cupertino Campus

Stephan has wrote an interesting post on Apple HQ. Given that my name is Steve, it was pretty easy to get these images. All I had to do was wear a black turtleneck, wave my hands, and say "Safari". Then, after the Apple guards took me away and threw me in Apple hell (which consisted of using a first generation iPod for an hour), I was able to easily escape during one of the Macworld reruns that play each...
