A really bizaare 1995 Japanese Apple Mac TV Commercial

Japanese commercials are weird and this one is no different. I still cant believe how Apple approved this whacky 4 minute commercial which was shown at Japanese TV and Macworld Tokyo....

Transformers like Robots on the horizon.

Scientists are now developing Transformers like shape shifting robots that can change shape with the flick of a switch. What these miniature robots can do is mimic ant like behavior. Ants alone are incapable to do monumental work but as a team they are unrivaled multi taskers. Swarms of robots that use electromagnetic forces to cling together and assume different shapes are being developed by US researchers. The grand goal is to create swarms of microscopic robots capable of...

Real Fireplace-A Flat screen that's HD in more ways than one.

If you thought winter was brutal in your hometown, well perhaps you need to visit Japan. The winter there is extreme. The homes are rarely well insulated, and the heating systems are generally limited to a stationary wall mounted heater that doubles as an air conditioner in the summer. The Real Fireplace gives you the look and aesthetic of a fireplace situated on a flat screen display while the rest of the unit blasts toasty heat in your direction....

Harley SOFTail cross bones- New hot rod from the stable.

Merely mentioning the word Harley Davidson is enough to bring out the biker in all of us, it makes our hands go on the side and twist out right hand at full throttle. The new offering from the makers is in keeping with the tradition of raw American Muscle machines. Harley's new Softail Cross Bones Motorcycles just exudes raw Harley Davidson DNA through and through. Featuring the lowest suspension of any Softail, the bike features a 1584cc Twin Cam...

Navy test fires 10 Megajoule Rail Gun

The Navy's rail gun has been in the news since quite some time, it uses electromagnetic pulses, instead of gunpowder to fire. The projectiles travel real fast the demonstration model got a little over 10 megajoules at around 5600 mph. When the system is completed it will fire projectiles at six times the energy at 64 megajoules (around 13000 mph). To give you an idea of the rail gun's power the 8 joule test shot had an impact force...

Fold able Solar energy - More power but nowhere to store.

The most expensive, carefully designed, and complicated solar panels in the world operate at about 40% efficiency. That means that, for every bit of sunlight that hits the panel, only 40% of it is turned into electricity. Scientists think that this is just about as good as silicon panels can do and are now looking at ways to make it cheaper, instead of making them more efficient. But suddenly, from nowhere, comes Steven Novack of the Idaho National Laboratories...

Maxablaster-Portable STAR LIGHT.

There are places in this world where simply turning the light switch on doesn't illuminate a single room, but then they don't have power there. What if you're left in the dark someday? Energy has become into a precious resource now-a-days, being stranded without power is manageable but without a torch is criminal. However if your thinking of using this next product as an emergency light its wise to point it far from your plasma screens, mobile phones &...

Posey- A Lego Hunk

Who of us didn't enjoy our time playing with building blocks from Lego. Now however we are so entangled into computer games that it hardly bothers us that the next generation may miss out on plain old problem solving skills. Interacting with a computer does freak some out enough for them to never play on the PC. Well Mark Gross, aims to provide a more playful interface for computers. To see Posey in action, skip to one quarter of...

HTC Touch FLO – Rumors of a new GUI emerge called Manila.

This could be how your new HTC phone may look like for the better part of next year. Frankly to me it looks no different from the current HTC Touch interface besides it being white. Nevertheless, it's intended for internal testing and usage only and the files, floating around the Internet aren't intend to be installed on current production devices. If you are not a developer, better don't install anything yet. Source...

iPhone comes under a 18-wheeler but still works

To cut a long story short, a guy from Kansas has posted shots of an iPhone that came under a semi truck traveling at an estimated 70 miles-per-hour, and lived to tell the tale. Apparently the guy's iPhone still works flawlessly in every way; he can make and receive calls and send text messages. The iPhone flew off the trunk of his car at freeway speeds. He left the phone inadvertently on his trunk while filling up gas and...
